The Plot: An experimental government program sends soldier Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) back in time, where he wakes up in the body of a commuter who witnesses a train bombing. Presented with just 8 minutes to figure out who is responsible, his mission is further complicated by his feelings for a fellow passenger (Monaghan).
When decorated airman Captain Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.
Filming
Filming began on March 1, 2010 in Montreal, Canada and ended on April 29, 2010.[1] Several scenes were shot in Chicago, Illinois, specifically at Millennium Park.
Post-production
Editing took place in Los Angeles. In July 2010, the film was in the visual effects stage of post-production.[2] Jones had confirmed that the film's soundtrack would be composed by Clint Mansell, in his second collaboration with the composer.[3] However, it was later announced that Mansell will no longer score the movie's soundtrack due to time constraints.[4] He was replaced by Chris P. Bacon.[4]

Sunker Punch Actors: Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
The development started in March 2007. The script, which was penned by Snyder and Shibuya, was finalized in like five months and it was actually planned to be made first before Watchmen. For Sucker Punch, Snyder gathered most of the Vancouver-based production team who worked on Watchmen. The pre-production took place in Los Angeles in June 2009, then moved to Vancouver in July.
A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.
We rather liked The Guardians of Ga’Hoole and admire Zach Snyder for juggling a family adventure with this decidedly more adult take on an abused young woman’s alternate reality. Imagine if the footage had been accidentally spliced together. Once set to star Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone, and Evan Rachel Wood, we’ve rallied behind the lesser known actresses — especially the refreshingly articulate Jena Malone — who are ready to bring Snyder’s first original story to the big screen, during the coveted “300 slot” no less (Snyder’s career-making movie was released 5 years ago this month.
